State police have released the names of two people injured in an ATV accident Sunday.

Police said Michael Starkey, 20, and Allie Knight, 18, are recovering at Ruby Memorial Hospital after they lost control of the ATV.  Starkey is listed in good condition and Knight is listed in fair condition, according to hospital records.

Original Story:

Two people were flown by two medical helicopters after an ATV accident in the Adamston area of Clarksburg Sunday.

It happened on Junkins Avenue Extension just after 6 p.m.

Witnesses said a man and woman were riding together on an ATV when it lost control, flipped several times and landed in a ditch.

Witnesses said both were not wearing helmets.

A HealthNet helicopter and Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter landed at the scene. The two teenagers were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

West Virginia State Police are handling the investigation.

The Harrison County Emergency Squad and the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
