Fairmont Woman Arrested on Kidnapping, Assault Charges

Courtney Oliverio was arrested and charged with kidnapping and assault charges after police said she abducted a woman after a confrontation regarding an affair with her boyfriend.
A Fairmont woman was arrested late Wednesday night on kidnapping and assault charges.
Fairmont police said Courtney Oliverio, 32, abducted a woman after a confrontation about the woman having an affair with her boyfriend.
Oliverio hit the woman in the head, burned her with a cigarette, and cut her hair while threatening to kill her with scissors, according to a criminal complaint. It was witnessed by three people, two of which were juveniles, the complaint stated.
Oliverio forced the woman and the witnesses into the car and drove to Clarksburg before driving back to Fairmont, according to the criminal complaint.
Police arrested Oliverio at her residence.
She is currently being held in the North Central Regional Jail. Bail is set at $1 million.
