If you're looking for some fun this weekend, you won't have to travel far.

The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum has kicked off its annual Fall Fest.

The annual event will run all weekend, and features events like karaoke and costume contests for both kids and adults.

Asylum staff said it's part of their efforts to reach out to the community.

"This was a community center in the years that it was open, and now that it's progressed to a historic landmark, anytime the people of the community can come and be a part of it, it makes us feel at home," said Bethany Cutright, of TALA.
