A family member has identified the teenager injured in an ATV accident nearly two weeks ago.

Eric Daniel Rivera, 13, of Taylor County is still in Ruby Memorial Hospital after undergoing surgery for head trauma, according to family members.

His family said he is now in stable condition.

The accident happened October 12 on Miracle Run Road in Simpson.

A 13-year-old boy was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital Saturday afternoon after an ATV accident in Taylor County.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department said it happened on Miracle Run Road in Simpson just after 3:00 p.m.

Deputies said the accident happened on private property.

The Flemington Volunteer Fire Department and Flemington EMS responded to the scene.

Once deputies arrived, HealthNet was already on its way.

Deputies said there will be a follow up investigation.

The boy's injuries and name are unknown at this time.
