    WVU and the City of Morgantown, paired up to host a discussion April 16 on underage and high risk drinking. The discussion was meant to discuss the problems at hand, and talk about possible solutions.

Several fire departments responded to the scene of a structure fire in Barbour County Saturday night.

The Barbour County 911 Center said the call came in just after 7:30 p.m.

Philippi Volunteer Fire Chief, John Green, said the fire destroyed an abandoned residence on Route 57 in Elk City.

No utilities were hooked up to the house and it is considered a total loss.

Firefighters consider the fire suspicious and said they have turned the investigation over to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal.

No one was injured.

Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Department, Philippi Volunteer Fire Department, and Barbour County Emergency Squad all responded to the scene.
