SyCom Technologies of Richmond, Va., has acquired the system integration division of Huntington-based Strictly Business Computer Systems.

Mike Owens, owner and CEO of Strictly Business, said his company's software engineering division and its 25 employees will remain intact. The five employees who are part of the system integration division will transfer over to SyCom, which will have office space in the Strictly Business office in downtown Huntington. That will allow the two companies greater opportunities to cooperate on projects, he said.

In a news release, Tom Cricchi, CEO of SyCom Technologies, said, "The most important thing we acquired was an outstanding group of employees who are passionate about both technology and their customers. We have a customer base already in West Virginia and by integrating these quality folks into our team, we expect our business to grow dramatically."

SyCom Technologies has offices in Virginia and West Virginia. Its main focus is commercial, government and education customers headquartered in the mid-Atlantic region who value a local partner with a national delivery capability. Its IT infrastructure services include data center systems, networking and security, unified communications, cloud services and a host of managed services options.
