Peterson Central Elementary Students Learn about Food as Part of National Hot Lunch Week

Posted: Updated:

Students at one Lewis County School have been learning how to stay healthy this week.

As part of National Hot Lunch Week, students at Peterson Central Elementary School were learning about different foods from around the country. Since Halloween is just around the corner, lunch staff was also teaching the kids what foods are good for their bones.

"I want them to learn how meat cheese and yogurt can help them build their bones to make them more healthier," said Tammy Posey, of Peterson Central Elementary School.

Students also created projects for bulletin boards around the school to share what they've learned.
