ELKINS -

Out and About in West Virginia is a new feature that will air once a month on Fridays on 12 News. It focuses on places and things to do here in West Virginia.

In Randolph County, you'll find one of the state's hottest entertainment destination. The Gandy Dancer Theatre; it's a Branson style dinner theatre, the only one in the state.

"We start April through December. We basically have every type of music through every decade. Singing and dancing, comedy, great family fun for everybody," said Nina Sharp Hebb, performer.

"The Gandy family has a blast, and the crowd when they get involved. They have a blast as well. So when they see us have a good time, everybody has a good time," said Rocky Hebb, performer.

Rocky and Nina, husband and wife, are both performers in the show along with a talented cast.

"We actually met through music. We both started out at church. Then playing all around the area. And I think that's how pretty much our whole cast started out at church, and have not dropped it since," said Nina Sharp Hebb.

As the month of October, the group is doing a least four shows a week.

"So you got to love the music. So we like to touch on everything. Country, Gospel, Oldies, Motown. Really everything because if you don't, your not going to touch everyone in the crowd," Nina Sharp Hebb said.

"The Gandy dancers do a great job, the girls that dance and it just livens up the whole show. It all comes together really well," Rocky Hebb said.

The Hebbs said that Randolph County and the Elkins area are becoming big tourist areas.

"You got the Gandy Dancer Theatre, you got the American Mountain Theatre, the train station. People are coming from all over the country to enjoy our state. We want people to come here, and for two hours laugh and enjoy music, clap their hands, tap their toes become a big part of our family," Nina Sharp Hebb said.
