The Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars serves U.S. veterans in our communities.

Armithea Borel is the Auxiliary's National President. She has made it a goal of hers to travel to every state to meet auxiliary members, discuss attracting new members, and focus on veterans' interests nationwide.

West Virginia is the 29th state she has visited.

"I asked to visit the veterans. I asked to visit any place that may house a veteran or be taking care of a veteran. We visited the VA facility yesterday and then we came here to lay a wreath in honor of the veterans that we lost. I get to see those kinds of things," Borel said.
