West Liberty 21

West Virginia Wesleyan 38

BUCKHANNON -- West Virginia Wesleyan quarterback Jeremy Musselman completed 29-of-41 passes for 393 yards and three touchdowns to help engineer a 38-21 comeback victory over West Liberty on Saturday afternoon at Cebe Ross Field.

The Bobcats trailed 21-17 midway through the third quarter, but WVWC responded by scoring the game's final 21 points to earn the victory. Musselman hit Zach Schademan for a 68-yard score, then took one in himself, and capped the rally with a TD pass to Connor Arlia from eight yards out in the fourth quarter.

Marty Bishop rushed for 108 yards to lead West Liberty. Dylan LaGarde was 17-of-34 for 177 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the 'Toppers. 

 

Fairmont State 5

Urbana 41

URBANA, Ohio -- Urbana used a methodical offense and a smothering defense to pick up a 41-5 win over Fairmont State on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Knights held modest advantages in most statistical categories, but cashed in on its opportunities to defeat the Falcons. Urbana held its opponent to 13 points or less for the fifth-straight game.

D.J. Mendenhall was just 12-of-28 in blustery weather, but still managed 224 yards passing and five touchdowns. D'Gary Wallace led the Urbana defense with 14 tackles (10 solo), including 3.5 for a loss and one pass breakup.

  

Glenville State 20

Notre Dame College 16

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Rahmann Lee rushed for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Glenville State to a 20-16 road victory over Notre Dame.

After falling behind 10-7 in the second quarter, quarterback Sean Steele punched it in from one yard out to give GSC the lead at the half, 14-10. The Pioneers added to their lead in the third quarter with a 44-yard touchdown run from Lee, but the extra point was missed to make it 20-10.

Pedro Powell scored on a four-yard touchdown run, but the point-after attempt was blocked to make it 20-16. NDC had a chance in the waning minutes getting the ball to the Pioneer 14-yard line, but was stopped on fourth and two allowing Glenville State to hold on to the win.
