The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department arrested a Morgantown man on a grand larceny charge Thursday.
Russell A. Cox, 33, was arrested by Monongalia County Sheriff's deputies and charged with one count of grand larceny, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
Deputies had been investigating thefts from a residential area off of Stewart Street in Monongalia County is which items were being stolen from vehicles, according to the sheriff's department.
The investigation revealed that Cox was the suspect in a theft where electronics valued at over $1,500 was taken from a vehicle in the neighborhood, the sheriff's department said.
Cox was arraigned in Monongalia County Court by Magistrate Sandy Holepit.
He's currently in the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $50,000.
