Posted: Updated:

West Virginia Wesleyan College will begin construction on a new welcome center.

The Nordstrom Welcome Center will house the admission and financial aid departments.

The $1 million facility will allow Wesleyan to use the space in Middleton Hall that currently houses the Office of Admission for its expanding School of Health Science.

"At this point we're located to the back of the campus, and visitors who come to campus are looking for admission so this new facility we give us the opportunity to greet and welcome families in a easier fashion and fulfills one of things outlined in campus facilities master plan," said Bernie Valento, West Virginia Wesleyan College's Vice President for Enrollment Management.

The welcome center is set to open next fall it will be located near the college's performing arts building.
