UPDATE: Randolph County Sheriff's Office Investigating Fatal Hit and Run

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal hit and run involving a pedestrian that took place early Sunday morning.

Someone called 911 to inform them that a body was found on the northbound side of Route 219 and Route 250 in Elkins around 11 a.m. Sunday, according to Randolph County Sheriff Mark Brady.

Sheriff Brady said the pedestrian has been identified as Clinton Deem, 24 of Elkins.

The sheriff's office said they have the incident on tape, which shows Deem walking and  being hit by a vehicle at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday.

Sheriff Brady said deputies located the vehicle involved at a residence late Sunday night in Randolph County. The sheriff's office is currently processing the vehicle and Sheriff Brady said they have identified a person of interest.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
