The State Fire Marshal's Office has charged a man with arson following an incident that occurred on September 11, 2013.
Alex Wamsley, 22, was arrested and charged with first degree arson after an "incendiary device", a device designed to cause fires, was used on a structure at 130 Island Avenue in Buckhannon, according to a criminal complaint.
The criminal complaint states that Wamsley confessed to setting the fire.
Wamsley was arraigned before Magistrate Juanita Adams and is currently in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. Bail is set at $75,000.
A preliminary hearing has been set for November 7. If convicted, Wamsley faces up to 20 years in prison.
