CLARKSBURG -

The Central West Virginia Transit Authority will offer a new Centra bus route starting Monday.

The Shoppers Express route will take riders to shopping areas in Clarksburg and Bridgeport.

This will be a permanent route and not just for the holidays.

The route will start on Main Street in Clarksburg and take riders to Walmart, K-Mart, Gabriel Brothers, and the Meadowbrook Mall.

It will then return to Main Street and start again.

Centra Bus staff said this new route will get riders to shopping areas faster, and free up some traffic along Route 50 and Emily Drive.

Central West Virginia Transit Authority will pass out information on Monday about the new route.
