SALEM -

The Harrison County Street Crimes and Drug (SCAD) Unit has arrested four people on drug related charges.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said that Bradley McKinney, Lucius Tallman, Charles Hendershot, and Amanda Montgomery were all arrested Saturday night in Salem.

An undercover agent with the SCAD Unit made a controlled purchase of heroin and three Percocet pills from Hendershot and McKinney, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.

The purchase was made in a playground in Salem, the sheriff's department said.

After the purchase was made, officers from the SCAD Unit, the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, and the Salem Police Department attempted to arrest Hendershot and McKinney, but they fled on foot, the sheriff's department said.

The two were caught and arrested after a foot chase through the park, according to the sheriff's department.

Officers then used a search warrant to search the house of Tallman where Hendershot was living. Cocaine, Percocet pills, and heroin was found in the residence, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.

Tallman and Montgomery were in the home at the time and were both arrested for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, the sheriff's department said.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said the SCAD Unit had previously purchased heroin from Hendershot and McKinney two times in October.

McKinney, 34, from West Union is charged with delivery of cocaine, delivery of Percocet, conspiracy to distribute Percocet, conspiracy to distribute heroin, and two counts of distribution of heroin, according to the sheriff's department.

Hendershot, 30, from Salem is charged with delivery of cocaine, delivery of Percocet, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to distribute Percocet, two counts of conspiracy to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to the sheriff's department.

Tallman, 40, from Salem is charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin, the sheriff's department said.

Montgomery, 32, from Salem is charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to distribute Percocet, and conspiracy to distribute heroin, the sheriff's department said.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said additional charges may also be filed.
