A health fair at West Virginia University reminded student to take care of themselves.

The health fair was a part of the annual Mountaineer Week events.

Nearly 20 vendors talked to students about everything from eating healthy to understanding your body mass index.

An important part of getting the information across is getting students to connect with people delivering the message, officials said.

"There are so many fast food vendors around here, you can go eat there, get off track. It can be very un healthy. I wanted to reach out and say hey, you can be healthy while at school, and these are some ways how you can do it," said Angela Kittle, organizer.

Mountaineer week continues Wednesday and will include the start of the annual bear-growing contest, and more.
