The Monongalia County Community Recycling Center is on the move.

The Solid Waste Authority is relocating its offices and processing center to a new location in the Morgantown Industrial Park.

The Lockside Road location will close Thursday.

The move is a green-one for the recycling center; it's taking its work indoors.

"This new facility is 20,000 square-feet, under-roof with no wind, no rain so our litter won't be blowing all over or floating all over when we get rain," said Jessica Maple, director of the Monongalia County Solid Waste Authority.

The solid waste authority has 11 recycle drop-off locations across the county. It hopes to open up twp more locations during 2014.
