Restaurant Road Trip: Bartini

MORGANTOWN -

The City of Morgantown is considered by many to be every college student's dream. There are options for cheap fast food, as well as High Street's clubs and bars.

What Morgantown needed was a place for a more mature crowd. Bartini stepped up to the plate.

"We opened up the first of July looking to bring something to the Suncrest Area that is a little more upscale, has a little more class to it then what you normally get," said Chris Brown, Bartini manager.

When you think of nightlife in Morgantown, you think of High Street. But that bar atmosphere isn't for everyone. Bartini offers its customers a more relaxed and mature atmosphere. It prides itself on its great food and great service.

"A lot of bars they don't offer a nice menu of food to eat, like appetizer food and something to snack on while you have a drink with your friends. The atmosphere is a mature crowd. They come out on the weekends to hang out and have a good time," said Kenneth Stevens, employee.

Bartini's atmosphere is elegant. There is an outdoor seating area, rooms to lounge, places to sit and eat, and a large bar where customers can enjoy their signature martinis.

"Our martini's blow everything out of the water. We have everything from a birthday cake martini to a raspberry pop rocks martini to a pumpkin spice martini which we are now featuring for the fall weather," Brown said.

Bartini doesn't have the typical bar food you'd expect. It's classier, made from scratch, and everything is fresh.

"Buffalo Chicken Kickers and we also have a macaroni grilled cheese. That's really good," Stevens said. 'It comes with a tomato sauce."

"We do have gourmet bar food. We have Bartini Chips. They are homemade potato chips with blue cheese crumbles on it and a light pesto drizzle which people say is to die for," Brown added.

There are many ways Bartini separates itself from other restaurants and bars in the area.

There are live bands every week, drink specials, and it even provides a designated driver service.

"We'll pick you up and bring you to the restaurant and bar and take you home. Anywhere pretty much in Morgantown as long as you're going home, we will make sure you get there safe," Brown said.

Bartini is always offering specials to its customers and they change daily.

You can visit its Facebook page every day to check them out.

Bartini is located in Morgantown's Suncrest Towne Centre. It is open Tuesday through Sunday 4 p.m. to 3 a.m.
