ELKINS -

The Elkins Police Department now has added a second K-9 dog to its department. His name is Armor.

Armor is a black lab and is about 2 years old, said his handler, Patrolman Justin Sigley.

The police department said a person donated money to obtain another K-9 unit.

Sigley and Armor have training for several weeks.

Elkins Police now have two K9s, Macey, and now Armor, giving extra coverage for the department to help lower crime.

The dog's primary role will be used to detect drugs, tracking, and visit the schools.
