JANE LEW -

The Jane Lew Fire Department is the latest group to support a Lewis County baby.

The department's auxiliary joined with the county deputy reserves for a baked steak dinner to support the health care for baby Oakley Kirkpatrick on Sunday.

Volunteers said people were lined up outside and calling in orders from the time they opened.

They say they're glad to help one of their own.

"It's one of our fellow officers' little ones that we're helping to support. And as far as others coming in, they're looking up for baby Oakley. They hope that she gets better," said reserve deputy Randy Bush.
