If you've ever taken a walk through downtown Morgantown, you know that you can find plenty of 'Mom & Pop' shops, but the Cupcakerie on Willey Street is one of the sweetest stops yet.

"People's faces light up when they come in here, and that's something that we love. Obviously, it's pink, and fantasy," explained part owner Anna Carrier.

Which is exactly the look Anna Carrier and Janet Williams were going for, when they opened up shop more than two years ago, but their success began even earlier.

Carrier has two daughters who live in Washington, and one who lived in New York.  She said they would always make sure to visit their local cupcake stores and her daughters would always say, 'Mom, you could do this.'"

Between October of 2010 and January 2011, Carrier and Williams worked on their recipes; they wanted to make their product perfect before they sold one cupcake.

So when a storefront opened up, just off High Street, they jumped at the chance.

Both women know how to keep customers coming back from students, to local business owners.

Kimberly Hensen, works next door at Maraney's Hair Care Center, said loves having the bakery next door, "We come over just about every day, if not twice a day my favorite is the Crème Brule cupcake."

They even offer "Made to Order" cupcakes ideal for any occasion.  Cupcakes including ones that are gluten free, sugar-free, vegan, and dairy free.
