BRIDGEPORT -

More than 40 students graduated from West Virginia Junior College Bridgeport Campus on Sunday afternoon.

The graduation took place at the Bridgeport Conference Center.

The students graduated from various programs including dental assistants, business administration, network and software solutions, medical assisting, and pharmacy technicians.

Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito delivered the commencement address.

She said she was impressed with how many of the graduates have families and jobs, and were still able to get their degree.

"Many of them did this while they were working, which makes it really, really difficult. Today is a time to say congratulations, let's work to get that new and better job, which many of them already have. Any support we can give them we want to," said Capito.

Each graduate received their diploma, and there was a pinning ceremony.

West Virginia Junior College has campuses in both Bridgeport, Morgantown, and Charleston.
