MORGANTOWN -

Many people are choosing to ditch the crazy Black Friday lines to shop online at home.

Cyber Monday is the busiest online shopping day of the year. Since 2010, Cyber Monday shoppers have spent more than $1 billion each year.

Shirlee Hawkinberry is one of those shoppers who chooses comfort over the rush of Black Friday.

"It's so much more comfortable, and to just prop my feet up after work, take my time, and not have to worry about oh this is only on sale till 3 o'clock or that's only on sale for five minutes, you know" said Hawkinberry.

Stores like Walmart even have Cyber Week, where deals will last until the product is gone. Some of their deals right now include low priced TV's and tablets. Also, if you spend $35, you'll receive free shipping.

But Cyber Monday can be a bit dangerous. With all of the Internet traffic, scam artists have an better chance at fooling someone to release personal information like credit card numbers.

Make sure you're only shopping at highly advertised stores. Hawkinberry said she does just that.

"I only shop at Walmart, K-mart, and Ebay, that kind of thing where it's really trustworthy," Hawkinberry said.

But, if you're someone who enjoys going to the mall, you can still download the Cyber Monday 2013 app to any smart phone. It will allow you to scan bar codes of items in store to see if they are cheaper online.

Many Cyber Monday deals have already started and will last all week. Happy Shopping!
