    The Trusted Choice® Big “I” National Championship will make its first trip to West Virginia when Pete Dye Golf Club hosts the 46th annual junior golf event Aug. 5-8.

Carnegie Hall presents the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra "Home for the Holidays" at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5at the Greenbrier County venue.

 

The symphony presents more than 50 concerts annually to audiences throughout the Mountain State. The Symphony's home is the world-class Maier Foundation Performance Hall at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences in Charleston. Grant Cooper, artistic director and conductor, began his duties in 2001.

Joining Maestro Cooper and the orchestra will be guest soprano, Lisa Vroman. She starred for several years on Broadway as Christine Daae in "The Phantom of the Opera."  

With a repertoire that ranges from Stravinsky to Weill to Broadway, Vroman is a frequent guest soloist with theatre/opera companies and orchestras including San Francisco, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, National, Hong Kong, Cleveland, Pacific, Utah, Dallas and the Boston Pops.
