The Philippi Police Department has arrested a Florida man and charged him with second degree sexual assault after two alleged incidents at Alderson-Broaddus University.
Kadontae Brooks, 19, is accused of hosting a party in Aug. 2013 where he sexually assaulted a woman who was intoxicated and unable to give consent. The woman told police that she woke up in Brooks' bed and had been physically helpless, according to a criminal complaint. Brooks told police that he had sexual intercourse with the woman two times and that the woman was crying, according to a criminal complaint.
In Nov. 2013, Brooks is accused of grabbing a woman's breasts at a party and showing up at her suite the following morning and sexually assaulting her, according to a criminal complaint. Brooks denied grabbing the woman but told police that he believed the acts were consensual, said the criminal complaint.
A phone call to Alderson-Broaddus University regarding Brooks' student status was not immediately returned.
Brooks is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $15,000 bail.
