Trial Date Set for Man Accused of Joshua Oberg's Murder

Jesse Heater will stand trial on Feb. 18, 2014 for the first degree murder of Joshua Oberg.

Siron told a confidential informant that he and Heater buried Oberg at a specific location in Upshur County, after killing him as part of a planned attack, according to the criminal complaint. On July 23, a body believed to be Oberg was found at a clandestine grave at that location.

Siron was sentenced to 15 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter and attempting to conceal a body.

Rodolpho Villagomez Corea also faces a murder charge in Oberg's death.
