An old Preston County nursery is a total loss after a fire destroyed it Tuesday night.

It happened around 7:20 p.m. at the former Jennings Nursery, according to the Tunnelton Fire Department.

George Wolfe of the Fellowsville Fire Department said a person was living in the building when the fire started. He said they escaped uninjured.

Wolfe said the incident appears to have been accidental.

Preston County 911 dispatched fire departments from Tunnelton, Fellowsville and Thornton who all responded to the scene.

Mountaineer EMS also responded to the scene, according to 911 officials. No injuries were reported.

The fire is still under investigation.
