2 People Flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital Following Rt. 57 Crash in Barbour County

West Virginia State Police are investigating a two vehicle crash that happened just before 8 a.m. Thursday on Rt. 57 near the Overfield community in Barbour County.

A truck driven by Eric Wolford, 30 of Salem, traveled across the center line and struck a car, driven by Ashley Craig, 26 of Philippi, head on, said Cpl. C.B. Schrader of the Philippi detachment. The drivers of each vehicle were flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with unknown injuries.

Wolford is in fair condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital.  Craig's status is currently unavailable.  Cpl. Schrader said no citations have been issued at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Barbour County EMS, the Philippi Fire Department, and the Nutter Fort Fire Department also responded to the scene.
