    The militant group ISIS has beheaded four Western hostages, two from the United States and two from Britain. Monday night, WVU's Muslim Association held a vigil for one of the murdered American journalist.

Activities and achievements: Ryan's academic success is rivaled only by his success as a student athlete. He has been captain of the football team for the past two years and was a state qualifier with his shuttle hurdle team in track. He has been a state qualifier in wrestling for the past three years and won a state championship in his weight class last year. Ryan participates in his county technical center's electrical trades program, and he is a member of student council, the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society and the spirit club. He is active with his church and has volunteered for Toys for Tots, the Special Olympics and at Wonderland Learning and Child Care Center.  

Plans: Ryan plans to complete his certificiation as an electrician by the time he graduates from high school. He wants to continue wrestling in college and already is being recruited by several Division II schools. He is considering majoring in a field of engineering.
