Woman Dead After Randolph County Accident

One woman is dead after a two vehicle collision in Randolph County on Thursday.

Coalton Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ernie George said it happened at the intersection of Route 33 and Route 151 near Norton at 5:25 p.m.

Teresa Elmore, 44, was driving west on Route 33, and preparing to turn onto Route 151 when a pickup truck heading towards Elkins t-boned her vehicle.

Joseph R. Loudin, 40, driver of the pickup was transported to Davis Memorial Hospital. His injuries are unknown at this time.

Route 33 was shut down for about 45 minutes until the scene was cleared of debris.

Firefighters from Coalton, and Junior Volunteer Fire Department responded along with Randolph County EMS.

West Virginia State Police are investigating. No criminal charges are pending at this time.
