MANNINGTON -

The Marion County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Mannington man on drug charges.

Chief Deputy Ralph Wright said David Earl Jarvis, 61, of Mannington was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of possession with intent to deliver.

Chief Deputy Wright said deputies recently set up a controlled buy with Jarvis. Once the purchase was made, a search warrant was obtained.

Deputies said they obtained a 'significant amount' of hydrocodone, marijuana, and Xanax from Jarvis' residence on Friday.

"It was about three times the amount of pills you could get prescribed," Chief Deputy Wright said about the Xanax.

Deputies also obtained hundreds of dollars in cash and several guns that Jarvis has been selling and trading.

Jarvis is awaiting arraignment and will be taken to the North Central Regional Jail.
