BECKLEY, WV -

Park Middle School's physical education department will participate in a used golf club drive.

Angela Culicerto, Park Middle School PE teacher, said she is making an area-wide plea for used golf clubs to expand the school's golf curriculum.

"Golf is a lifelong sport that not only enhances students' physical activity, but also teaches critical thinking skills and good manners," Culicerto said. "We've seen great results with our golf program so far and I would like to offer it to all students."

But to do that, she needs more clubs.

"Mrs. Culicerto is Raleigh County Schools' 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year and has taken health and physical education to a level never before experienced at the school," said Park Middle School Principal Dr. Jacqueline McPeake. "I can't wait to see how she enhances our students' education and wellness through expansion of our golf program."
