Struck Sunday Evening with wind gusts to 100 MPH.
The Upshur County Sheriff's Department is investigating an attempted robbery of an Upshur County convenience store.
It happened Sunday between 6:15 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. at the Mountaineer Mart on the old Weston Road.
Sheriff deputies said a man walked in with a knife saying "give me my money," officials said.
After a short time, the man left on foot. No merchandise or money was taken from the store.
The man was wearing a brown carhart jacket, dark colored tobogan and sunglasses. He was also described as having a stubby beard, slim build, and approximately five-feet tall.
