Original story

A Buckhannon woman is facing first degree arson charges.

The state fire marshals office said Beth Bolyard set fire to a sock, then set it on a love seat in her daughter's bedroom, catching their mobile home on fire.

The fire happened Sunday.

Officials said Bolyard set the fire because she wanted to leave her husband after he didn't want to share his money with her.

Bolyard also admitted to setting fire to a home on Hacker's Creek Road in Barbour County last year for the same reason.

She's in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $150,000.
