The West Virginia Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission has submitted the names of two candidates to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin.

The governor will choose a candidate to fill the vacant judicial seat in Mingo County Circuit Court.

The commission selected Jonathan Jewell and Teresa McCune as the "best-qualified persons."

Jewell works with the Public Defender Corporation and McCune serves as the chief public defender for the 30th judicial circuit.

The commission also recommended Deloris Nibert for a judicial vacancy in the Putnam County family court.
