Two people were injured in a head-on collision in Barbour County on Saturday evening.

The Philippi Fire Department said it happened around 5:30 p.m. on Route 250.

Firefighters said they had to cut one woman from her vehicle. They said she may have been driving in the wrong direction.

The woman and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to the hospital by Barbour County EMS.

No word on their names or conditions.

The Barbour County Sheriff's Department, state police, and the Belington Fire Department also responded to the scene of the collision.
