FAIRMONT -

Fairmont State University students worked on a class project that highlighted the work of two important men in The City of Fairmont's history.

Andrew C. Lyons and Raymond Stoker were two men that helped transform Fairmont into what it is today.

The men are responsible for some of Fairmont's most historic buildings.

Some of which include schools, homes, and mansions.

"We came up with a publication and its available through the Women's Club or through the Volunteer Association. It's called Arts and Architecture of Fairmont and it describes the lives of these men and all the different projects. They were mostly forgotten," said Raymond Alverez, FSU Professor.

There will be a display on the Arts and Architecture in Fairmont at the Marion County Public Library for the next few weeks.
