The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said that the accident on Interstate 79 on Tuesday morning was caused by icy conditions.

There was a woman and three children in the vehicle that crashed and rolled over.

The sheriff's department said that the three children were transported from the scene to United Hospital Center, but that they were not admitted and only had minor injuries.

The mother was transported to UHC with extensive facial injuries.

She has been moved from UHC to Ruby Memorial Hospital. 

Her name and condition are unknown at this time.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 79 southbound just after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The sheriff's department said one woman and three children were transported to United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. A witness told the sheriff's department that the woman's car hit ice on an overpass, went out of control, and hit a guardrail.

The Lost Creek Fire Department, Nutter Fort Fire Department, Jane Lew Fire Department, Harrison County EMS and Bridgeport EMS were dispatched to the scene.

In another accident just a few miles north on I-79, a pickup truck hit a patch of ice on an overpass and rolled over. The Anmoore Police Department responded to the crash.

Police said the driver didn't receive any injuries in the crash.
