The Clarksburg Police Department has identified the man who died in a vehicle crash on West Pike Street Friday morning.

Police said Ellis Vincent, who was in his 70's, suffered from a medical condition which caused the crash. Police said it hasn't been determined if Vincent died as a result of the crash or from his condition.

Vincent's car ran into a barrier wall near Hartland Supply Building.

Harrison County emergency officials said one man is dead after a single vehicle accident on West Pike street Friday morning in Clarksburg.

Officials said just before 7:45 a.m., a vehicle smashed into a barrier wall near Hartland Building Supply. Clarksburg Police Officer Walker said it is believed that something medically-related happened to the man while he was driving. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Clarksburg Fire, police, and Harrison County EMS responded to the scene.
