As a memorial in her honor, the family of the late Donna Stalnaker Brant recently presented a memorial gift to the Davis & Elkins College Booth Library and its new Beta Bean Café.

Brant's sister, Linda McCollam, presented the gift to Beta Bean Café Manager Frank Cottrell and Vice President for Student Affairs Scott Goddard. Also attending the presentation were Brant's family members: niece Leslie Moats, great-granddaughter Cambrie Currence, granddaughter Erica Gladwell, great niece Ella Moats, daughter Barbara Currence, great-grandson Peyton Howell, grandson Ritchie Rosencrance, niece Lesia Gibson, nephew Chad Lewis, brother Samp Lewis, brother Bud Lewis, sister in-law Shirley Lewis, friend Ashley Sjoman and daughter Kimberly Teter.

Brant, who retired from Davis & Elkins College in 2009 after 20-plus years of service in Booth Library, passed away in November 2012.

"Donna was a special member of the Davis & Elkins College Housekeeping Team for many years," Goddard says. "Her care and love for the students of Davis & Elkins College will never be forgotten.  She always had a warm smile and words of encouragement for the students she passed in Booth Library. Booth Library was Donna's ‘home' on campus, thus the gift for the Booth Library and Beta Bean Café was very meaningful and special for all involved."
