Pastor JJ Roller and Johnny Bryan hosted a blood drive at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksburg Friday.
Both suffer from chronic diseases that have required transfusions, and now they want to give back.
Roller said it's time for her to return the favor she received years ago.
"I had surgery in 2005, and had to receive blood during that surgery, and it just is so heart-warming to know that people will give of themselves freely so that I could live," Roller said.
The blood drive continues until 6:30 Friday night at the First United Methodist Church on Pike Street in Clarksburg.
