Volunteers said the problem began when Monongalia County condensed the committees overseeing the park into one.
Crews were called to the scene of a structure fire in Marion County Saturday afternoon.
It happened on Deepwoods Lane in Pleasant Valley.
Fred McDonald, Assistant Fire Chief of the Valley Volunteer Fire Department, said a three stall garage caught on fire just before 11:30.
It was contained to the garage area and was under control in just 10 minutes.
McDonald said the garage is considered a total loss and no one was injured.
The cause is unknown at this time and the State Fire Marshal will be called in to investigate.
One car was destroyed in the fire.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County Rescue Squad as well as the Barrackville, Boothsville, and Winfield Volunteer Fire Departments all assisted at the scene.
