FAIRMONT -

The Marion County Sheriff's Department has arrested a third person in connection with drug arrests made earlier this week.

Chief Deputy Ralph Wright said several people from Mississippi have been bringing cocaine and hydrocodone to Marion County.

Deputies arrested Charlie Stokes, 37, of Mississippi on Saturday afternoon after they set up surveillance on a hotel in the White Hall area.

After obtaining a search warrant on the hotel, deputies found hyrocodone pills and 1.8 ounces of cocaine.

Stokes has been charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver.

Deputies arrested Franklin Jones and Jacquelin Ganaway on similar charges Thursday and said everyone was working together.

Chief Deputy Wright said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending.

Stokes will be taken to the North Central Regional Jail.
