Posted: Updated:

Three people died in a house fire in Wetzel County, Monday night, West Virginia State Police officials said.  The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m., in the Littleton area.  When state troopers and other first responders got to the scene on Cliff Run Road, the home was engulfed in flames, according to state police.

Carmen McDougal, 55 and Michael McDougal, 63 were killed in the fire, troopers said.  The two were the home's residents.  The third victim, an adult man, has not yet been identified by the State Medical Examiner's Office.

A preliminary investigation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office shows that the fire is suspicious, but a final determination has not been made, state police said.  If you have any information on the fire, you can call the State Arson Hotline at 800-233-3473.  A reward of up to $5,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in an arson case.
