Fairmont State Continues Box of Sunshine Drive

Posted: Updated:

It's not too late to help Fairmont State University with its Box of Sunshine Drive.

The drive is in celebration of Martin Luther King Junior Day of Service.

FSU is collecting travel size shampoos, conditioners, soaps and other personal hygiene products to benefit clients of the Soup Opera in Fairmont.

"It's important to us to give back to this community that gives us a lot and to development really good relationships with this community. To develop a presence and show off our students," said Amy Drvar, of FSU.

You can drop your donations off in any of the "sunshine boxes" on campus at the Feast Center, Falcon Center, Turkey Center, and the Ruth Ann Musick Library Circulation Desk.

The collection started Monday, January 13 at the men's and women's basketball games at the Feaster Center. The drive will end Sunday, January 19.

Students will pack everything up on Monday January 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and deliver them to the Soup Opera.
