West Virginia National Cemetery Undergoes Renovations

Posted: Updated:

Renovations are scheduled to begin at the Grafton National Cemetery in March, but the work doesn't stop there.

The West Virginia National Cemetery is also under construction right now.

2,500 crypts are being installed and crews are fixing the drainage problem.

The roads will also be re-paved soon.

"You want everything in the national cemetery to be all inspiring, as they put it. So the veterans that have served, they have served that. Every time somebody comes in, they say they want their final resting place to be as beautiful as it possibly could," said Chad Mayle, a foreman.

The renovation project is expected to be finished by the end of the summer.
