The Morgantown Urban Deer Hunt just wrapped up its third year.

Hunters killed 137 deer, and increase by 19 from last year.

They also donated 2,000 lbs of meat from 74 deer to local shelters, including the Bartlett House.

Early planning for the 2014 Urban Deer Archery Hunt will be held soon.

"Deer in the city have been constantly increasing, creating problems from cars hitting them, and damage that way, others their backyards have been damaged and the fauna in the parks have never really recovered from the amount of deer," said Jeff Mikorski, Morgantown City Manager.

More properties could be in play for next year.

UDAH Registration will be announced in February.
