West Virginia Wesleyan's T.J. Thompson has been named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week after helping the Bobcats pick up a pair of wins last week.

Thompson, a senior guard from Kingwood, W.Va., averaged 24.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists on the week as WVWC improved to 11-7 overall and 6-4 in conference play. Thompson's 28 points was critical in the Bobcats picking up a road win over Wheeling Jesuit, and he followed that performance up with 21 points in a home win over Urbana. Thompson shot 62 percent from the field on the week, including 56 percent from behind the three-point line, in addition to making 14-of-15 from the free throw line.
