The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, or NAIFA, recently recognized NAIFA of Charleston with the 2012-2013 Jack E. Bobo Award of Excellence.

The award is to honor associations in the NAIFA federation that excel in member benefits, advocacy, membership and governance, demonstrating success and growth during a one-year period.

"It's an honor to be recognized by the national association for the work we've done to be successful for the fourth consecutive year," said John Pauley, NAIFA of Charleston executive director. "Our goal is to provide insurance agents and financial advisors who are members with the tools they need to better serve their clients."

Pauley said the group's members follow a strict ethical code, and the association with the national organization helps members stay well-informed with current information.

"The people of Charleston should do business with a NAIFA Charleston member," he said.
